Studying abroad was an experience of a lifetime. Once I stepped out of the classroom my Spanish ability increased tenfold. Staying with an amazing host family and needing to translate even the most mundane things boosted both my skills and my confidence in Spanish. My favorite part was exploring the country and going out with friends, both Costa Rican and from NAU.
